I've had a number of people ask for the list of small presses I’ve queried, so I thought I'd put it here so everyone can benefit from it.

This isn't an exhaustive list, but these are all the ones I've come across that take YA fantasy in no particular order. Most take other genres too, but as the book I queried is a YA fantasy with a romance B plot, the presses that publish those genres are the ones I added.

But submit to these at your own risk. I haven't fully vetted them, and this doesn't mean I endorse them, so please do your homework before accepting anything. I'm also not sure which of these are currently open to unsolicited queries, so double check before submitting.

If you're not a YA fantasy writer, you can still look through this list as a lot of these publishers take a wide variety of genres, but Reedsy maintains a list you also might find useful. Just filter by your genre and check the “Accepts Unagented Submissions” box.
